David provides strategic counsel, media relations support and messaging guidance to clients such as the Cancer Prevention and Research Institute of Texas (CPRIT), Texas Historical Commission, St. David’s Foundation and Travis County. David has more than 20 years of experience in public relations, marketing, communications, public policy and politics.

Prior to joining Hahn Public, David served in various PR, political and legislative capacities, including stints on Capitol Hill, at the Texas Legislature and for state and federal campaigns throughout the country. Most recently, he led major client teams for PR agencies Hill+Knowlton Strategies and Blanc & Otus.

David serves on the Communications Committee for The Trail Foundation, helping the organization plan and execute events, fundraising campaigns and media opportunities. He received an MBA from the University of Georgia and a bachelor’s degree from Baylor University.
