The TexHahn Media group, a communications, marketing and web development company based in Austin, Texas is searching for a Director of Digital Strategy. The ideal candidate will have an analytical background, a knack for identifying consumer insights and a creative eye. This position plays a significant role in generating conversion traffic for client websites. In collaboration with account and creative team members, the Director of Digital Strategy will oversee the creation of social media campaigns, marketing schedules, in-depth reporting, data analysis and insights supporting multiple client strategies. The candidate should think strategically about the data and be willing to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment without compromising the quality of work.


Digital Strategy Director reports to: SVP of Creative & Digital

  • Manage and grow a team of strategists
  • Collaborate with creative teams to create engaging and relevant content for clients
  • Oversee building and management of client social media profiles, calendars and presence, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, and additional channels that may be deemed relevant
  • Collaborate with account, content development and creative teams on developing and executing digital campaigns and distributing content that that engages audiences and supports the overall communication and marketing goals
  • Oversee development channel-specific content appropriate for internal as well as client channels
  • Monitor and engage in relevant social discussions about our clients, competitors, and/or industry, both from existing customers as well as from brand new audiences
  • Lead client discovery, market research, and competitive analysis
  • Drive consistent, relevant traffic and leads from our social network presence
  • Explore new ways to engage and identify new social networks, content strategies, or mechanisms to reach and engage relevant target audiences
  • Track, measure, and analyze all initiatives to report on social media ROI
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of integrated marketing and traditional public relations, and the role social and digital media play in integrated marketing
  • Develop/manage influencer relations programs and successfully implement related activities where needed
  • Identify cultural trends, popular culture, and timely news stories in order to capitalize on them on behalf of our clients through social media, earned media, or paid media
  • Analyze and assess the performance of campaigns, and translate quantitative and qualitative data into actionable insights and recommendations for revising campaign strategy
  • Assist and develop in new business ventures which include; pitching new business, working collaboratively with leadership to develop new business marketing strategies, etc.
  • Oversee /manage paid digital campaign as well as tracking and managing budgets
  • Manage relationships with paid media vendors and partners
  • Participate in annual strategical and tactical planning, capability-building client projects
Must Have
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing/advertising, communication, or related field
  • 8+ years of direct digital marketing experience
  • Previous agency experience
  • Working knowledge of ecommerce platforms, PPC, SEO, SEM, web design, and WordPress
  • Demonstrated ability to development and execute digital marketing strategies
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High-level experience with Google Ads, Facebook Ads, Google Analytics, Search Console
  • Analytical mindset with ability to interpret data from multiple sources to troubleshoot performance and provide strategic recommendations to clients
  • Must be a highly collaborative team player
  • Must have managerial experience or interest
  • Must be highly organized and have experience in self-managing projects
  • Experience in digital media planning/buying (paid programmatic)
